Viña Olabarri Gran Reserva Rioja (Spain) 6 bottles for $172.80
Ruby with brick-red glints, proper of a careful ageing. Textbook nose of deep, spicy currant fruit mingling with earth and a little mint. Powerful and gutsy on the palate yet refined and well behaved; a genuine, very traditional Rioja for a hearty dish.

Ellena Giuseppe Barolo (Piedmont) 6 bottles for $216
Wine Enthusiast 90 points “Aromas of ripe berry, fragrant blue flower and a whiff of Alpine herb lead the nose. The generous palate offers juicy black cherry, crushed raspberry, cinnamon and licorice alongside firm, fine-grained tannins. Drink 2018–2023.” Perfect for a truffle flavored risotto.
Chateau Le Bosq St-Estephe (Bordeaux) 6 bottles for $216
Wine Enthusiast 93 points
A lean, muscular St-Estephe, this wine has a pure black-currant flavor, sunny, firm and powerful. There’s some austerity in the tannic structure, the fruit dense enough to completely fill it, tightly bound and waiting to develop over the coming decade. Very spicy and fresh with floral and currant character. Full to medium body and regal structure and intensity. Chocolate, tea and berry flavors. Tannins are polished and focused. Excellent finish. Drink in 2021, decanted with your favorite meat dish.
